ADVANCED DRIVING

An Advanced driving course could help drivers to:

• raise their standards

• raise their awareness

• reduce their risk

• take pride in their driving



The Advanced driver should always be in the correct position on the road, travelling at the appropriate speed for the conditions with the correct gear engaged.

Advanced driving is based on the system of car control´ which can be found in the police drivers handbook "Roadcraft". This is the basis of advanced tests with the Institute of Advanced Motorists and RoSPA Advanced Drivers Association

Eco-driving is now more relevant due to heightened awareness of climate change and the high cost of fuel. Techniques used in advanced driving reflect the same ethos as eco-driving.
